A big congratulations to our patient of the month, Carole! This hardworking nurse knew what it would take to fully recover after shoulder surgery and always puts her best effort in it! Carole’s personality is magnetic, and she draws people in with her constant smiles! She always makes new friends in the clinic, so be sure to say hello when you see her!

Dr. Marnie Wortman, DPT

In Carole’s Own Words…

1) List Three Words to Describe You:

I would describe myself as outgoing and friendly with a good sense of humor.

2)  What Brought You Into Physical Therapy?

I had a Total Shoulder Replacement. This was my second total shoulder surgery after having a SubScaps failure. My surgeon actually had PT with Iron Physical Therapy and recommended that I check them out. I did not have a good experience with PT after my first surgery so I was looking for something different.

3) How would you describe physical therapy?

It is a time to strengthen the muscles and areas of your body that have been injured or operated on.

4)  What would you say to someone who is living in pain and putting off physical therapy?

Don’t be afraid to try to PT especially IronPT. Everyone is so nice and I was surprised at how fast my session went. Not too intense.

5) What are you excited to get back to after physical therapy?

I was surprised when I went through the drive-through, I could reach out and get the food! Also, I was able to put on my earrings and necklace myself. That was exciting!

6) What did you enjoy most about the physical therapy experience?

I think the best thing is that everyone is so nice and that you trust the care that you are receiving. The time just flies by not like at other PT experiences I’ve had! Thanks so much Dr. Wortman for your great care!
