Stop Slouching and Correct Your Posture

If you're looking to stop slouching and improve your posture, you’ve come to the right place!

Poor spine flexibility and rounded shoulders are only a couple of the many setbacks that poor posture can come with. Slouching can affect how you look AND feel - today, a few years from now, and during your workout tomorrow. Dr. Michael Castania has 3 simple and easy posture exercises anyone can do right now to prevent or correct poor posture from affecting you daily.

Posture Exercises to Help Improve Your Posture:

  1. Standing Rotation: Hinge at the hips and stand with one arm between your knees and the other one straight. Twist until your straight arm is as far as it can go and hold for 10 seconds. Do 10 on each side.

  2. Chest and Shoulder Stretch: This stretch will help get rid of the rounded shape of your posture. Lay on your foam roller with the foam roller placed vertically, between your shoulder blades and your lower back flat on the foam roller. Bring your arms up over your head, let your shoulders tip back, and maintain that position for 2 minutes.
