Dr. Wortman’s Protein Pancake Recipe

If you’re looking for a healthy and nutrient packed breakfast to start you off your day, Dr. Wortman has some fluffy, protein pancakes for you (AKA the Breakfast of Iron Champions)! According to SF Gate, eating plenty of protein in the morning can increase alertness, amino acid intake, and a feeling of fullness throughout the day.

Healthy & Homemade Protein Pancakes

Ingredients:

1/2 c Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes Mix

1/4 c granola

1 egg (2 if you want more protein)

1/2 c water

1 Tbsp chia seeds

**Bonus: Sometimes I add fruit, nut butter, cinnamon, vanilla extract, lemon juice, really any extras you'd like!

Instructions:

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl.

  2. Cook as you would with any other pancakes

  3. Top with the syrup, fruit, or spread of your choice! Enjoy!
